Another exhibition at the Hepworth, this time it was J W Anderson's Disobedient Bodies:
| Photo from Trendstop |
We went on the opening night so it was very busy, but I really enjoyed the experience, in particular the room of long jumpers, which you could be interactive with.
MAIN POINTS:
- I liked the different responses to the room, as some people enjoyed occupying the space and using the jumpers, whilst others left them in interesting positions and tangles for others to view, and others simply walked through
- This was an exhibition which really highlights the importance of involvement and engagement with a physical element of art, which can be manipulated to out your own artistic spin on it
- I was left wondering again who the author is, was it the knitter, the curator, the person who is shaping the jumpers, or the viewer?
