P I C K | M E | U P | F E S T I V A L

This weekend I managed to see the Pick Me Up festival in Somerset house, and I was so inspired by the work I saw there. Below are some works I particularly liked

Isabel and Helen
I really like these prints, as I think the bold composition and striking colour contrasts work to create an incredibly balanced but stand out piece. I would love to play around more with bold shapes in my work to create more dynamic layouts

Peso Press
Peso Press were there running an amazing workshop, where we combined pre-printed screen prints with our own laid out letterpress. I really enjoyed the process and found it a really nice souvenir to take home from the day, which reminded me of what I saw.

Charlotte Mei
After the Big Heads with Charlotte Mei, I was really excited to see her work in real life, and I loved seeing the 'reclining worm', as I think her simple 3D pieces really capture the essence of simple yet effective. I would love to experiment more with 3D materials throughout my practice, as I enjoyed it during the 3D GIF project, and would love to see how I could turn my illustrations into ceramic outcomes.
