-Think about having something to work towards- exhibition, print fairs etc.
-Try to work minimum needed to pay bills and spend rest of time on practice
-Make sure you don't get taken advantage of when you're starting out

-Use each others skills

- Internships/artists assistant
- Keep on top of portfolio
- Register with HMRC
- Make sure to invoice properly- (maybe ask Dan if not sure?)
- Think about travel and where to live
I really like Adam's style of working, and how he applies his work to different mediums, and I want to expand the products I make, and how I apply my illustrations to fit a wider range of items.
I feel like I got a real confidence boost from the talk, as I felt that his story as to how he became an illustrator, and I feel like it's something which is definitely achievable for me
This was a really helpful talk, as I've liked Adam's work for a while and it was insightful to hear about his successes and pitfalls, and take some really useful pieces of advice away.
