I found Pinterest was really beneficial in gathering artists for particular projects, as I was able to document and store them according to their use, and feel like I have an effective system in place on how to organise them so that I can access different inspirations as and when I need.
The main way I have utilised instagram is through networking and finding new, inspirational illustrators and designers who have impacted on my own view of what illustration is, and the way I conduct my practice. I use instagram at least once a day, and it has also aided me in building confidence in my work through putting it out for other people to see, and not be afraid of what they will think.
