Today we had a visit to Colours May Vary and a talk from Becky and Andy about how they started up/run the shop, as well as tips on how we could sell our work in their shop or other outlets.

- Collaboration with local illustrators/shops
- Doesn't matter how well made it is, has to 'touch' them both and feel 'right'

-Projects driven by passion work best

- Costings- Think about margins-> they take 25-60% margin of sale price

- Drop in items then send email? Let them absorb what they're seeing
- Make the space pay for itself

- Go to the places and see stick- e.g. Stockholm
- Learning curve that never ends- advertising yourself
- Create an investigative display
- Clarity online- How are you presenting your work?
