A N O R A K

This weekend I worked at Anorak for the third Drawing Imaginarium festival, which was an amazing experience.

My roles included:

Friday:
- Spray mounting posters
- Transporting items across London to the destination in Dalston Square

Saturday:
- Setting up/taking down elements
- Running 'Arnold the Idea Generator' for most of the first day, helping children to draw unusual and humorous scenes, such as a 'cat flying a hat'
- Helping with sorting supplies for each section

Sunday:
- Setting up/taking down elements
- Running guitars on the paper band stall (Making templates, examples and helping kids make their own)
- Running the pan pipes activities (Making examples and helping children make theirs)
- Making paper lollies with children
- Running the How Brave is the Wren caravan bookstore for a short period (Including selling books using a card reader and paypal (!) and helping kids to read)

Overall I had an amazing weekend, despite the cold and rainy weather!! Also, Cathy invited me to do more work with Anorak, including more illustration based work over the holidays, which I am SO excited about! I'm so happy I was able to help out this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to staying in touch with Anorak and hopefully working with them more closely in the future.
