Print Stuff was a really good opportunity for me to talk to a range of different practitioners.
Our stall was right next to Adam Higton's, so I spoke to him a fair bit. It was really interesting to have a relaxed chat with him where we were on equal levels as practitioners. It was also interesting finding out about his approach to events like Print fairs, as he said he would be happy earning a small amount, and that it was more about the exposure.
It was also really good talking to Andy from Colours May Vary and it was good developing a strong line of conversation, and I feel as a result I'm a lot more confident in approaching them if I had any stock I wanted them to sell in the future. I also spoke to them about the work of We Are Out of Office, and it was an interesting having that crossover dialogue about practitioners.
I also spoke to Nous Vous, and it was really great to hear their feedback on our stall, and it was lovely to be introduced to such an inspirational collective. It was also great to get some advice of them as to how to start out as an individual practitioner and as a collective
Another Illustrator I spoke to was Nick White, which was another great conversation. He was a really lovely person, and it made me feel really welcome into the world of illustrators, and gave me a lot of confidence with how to develop as a creative.
