Visiting Lecturer- Dominic Kesterton

We had a visit from Dominic Kesterton in the studio, which I found really inspirational.

Although I really love his work, I find it hard to identify with my own practice, but it was interesting to learn about how he views his work and how he keeps motivated. I picked up a few tips which I will definitely use in my practice, such as trying to use universal imagery to easily communicate.

NOTES:

Instant storytelling through universal images

'Take everyone serious'- Sint Lucas

-Live drawings- time restraints-> Push comfort zones

-Uses figures 'just above stick figures'

- Zines without panel narrative
